Most players need years to develop into a consistent first grader. Kenny, Stagg, Thaiday and Parker are recent examples of this from our own system. These guys all struggled in their first few seasons in first grade, but persistence and long term planning saw them reach their potential and develop into integral members of our team. It seems as though our current philosophy is that if you can't manage it within a season then you are dead wood. The guy is laden with potential and IMO would have wanted to stay as he did come here solely for family purposes. A season is not enough to justify cutting someone this talented.
