I don't see what all the hoorah is about, I understand that there will be their prospective losses for NRL and AFL but if the FFA compensate accordingly I don't understand what the big issue is. To me it's more just a "My dick is bigger than yours" campaign. Australia will benefit through tourism boosts (both pre, during and post World Cup), Rugby League and AFL will have better facilities and higher capacity stadiums at the expensive of the FFA & Government. Honestly, I think with the majority of people on here complaining about it all is because your beloved sport taking a backset for a few months.. Like seriously, what's a few months without league when you will be enjoying it for years and years to come. Take it on the chin and embrace our sporting culture as a whole. You should be celebrating being involved in such a massive event, it's not just the stadiums that have the atmosphere, its the streets, the people, the pubs that have the vibe through such a sporting event.
