Not an issue for most people. US is pretty harsh on any kind of misdemeanour or criminal record. If you have a charge against you there's a good chance they won't let you in the country, even as a visitor. In my brother-in-law's family, one of his relatives had a drink driving charge 15 years ago. He's from Canada.
