Just do a simple search on Google of McCullough and look what comes up.. http://www.theroar.com.au/2009/04/01/an ... placement/ http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/nrl ... 6010695678 All this 'potential' but nothing for us fans to see. I for one get so agitated the amounts of time he runs the ball straight out of dummy half, and most of the times in slow motion. His service is disgraceful for a hooker, and the only thing that seems to be going for him is his defense, and when you watch his defense closely, it actually isn't even that good - when he attempts to make one on ones, he usually gets brushed off, and on most tackles he just flops in. His kicking game is so hot and cold, I have seen him put some great kicks but some weeks he just provides absolute shockers, that can probably be put down to not practicing kicking, which just further emphasises peoples opinions of him here that he thinks his position is cemented within the team. I've read throughout the forum most peoples opinions of him, and i thought it was time to open up a new topic about it because quite frankly it is so frustrating watching him play knowing how much better the team could be with a specialist hooker that can provide another attacking option, or even IF McCullough ever realised his actual potential. The kids young, I am not saying he should be spectacular but he should at least be playing solid week in week out. What his giving the team is absolutely nothing in attack, and making things even more difficult for Lockyer and Co. Our attack has been pretty hopeless this year, and McCullough is one of the reasons as to why it is so poor. Do people think hooker is not his natural position? He was talked up as a schoolboy five eight wasn't he? He doesn't seem creative enough to be a five eight though [icon_shru , he does have the Kris Keating kind build though, not as quick as him however. Hopefully he picks his act up soon, he's played over 50 NRL games and he isn't a rookie no more. I'd like to see Baptitse given a run, but for all we know he too might not be up for the NRL. Wallace would be the only other logical solution, but after watching Wallace against the Storm last week, I can't help but feel his best football is when Locky isn't there, in saying that I expect big things from him next year.
