It’s hypocritical to condone someone personally attacking another and then defend / support that same person when they’re called out on it. With that in mind, perhaps I am also being hypocritical. It’s also a chicken and egg situation. I also don’t care for two wrongs making a right. A sure way to not be personally attacked on here is to not do so yourself. Again, chicken and egg. I can’t recall anyone personally attacking me (maybe they have?), because I do my best to ensure my criticisms of players etc. are performance based. I also do my best to ignore ridiculous posts and avoid posting about other posters, but sometimes I fail. I am not alone there. I recall B4L (sorry if it wasn’t you) made a post recently about when they first came on here and behaved like a bit of a dick and how they got treated as such. As soon as they changed their tune a bit, people warmed up to them. Funny that. Now this isn’t a popularity contest, people can have opposing views. Indeed, they’re absolutely necessary. But how and when you deliver them is critical. Anyway, I could go on and on, but it won’t achieve anything. I look at the Seibold situation like this: he did his best but it wasn’t even close to good enough. But he didn’t fail because he didn’t give it his all or because he intentionally wanted to ruin the joint. People make mistakes and this one was a huge mistake on many fronts. But like I said, I don’t take joy from his or the clubs misery. He isn’t a bad person, he didn’t murder or rape someone. He failed at a job, like many of us have and will. But I certainly don’t get my jollies from that so won’t be celebrating his demise and gloating about it. And that is perhaps why I make the posts about other posters that I do. I have nothing more to add to the conversation.
