Nonetheless the ball is 40 overs old and the sting is out of the attack, he still has Connolly, Phillipe and O’Neill who can all bat and bat well so he has blokes to go with him. It’s the right move from McSweeney. Patience is key. A batsman impresses me more at being patient enough to bog down, work hard for it and come out the other side of it with prolific scores.
