It's not right and at times the recent series against Pakistan showed that there is a distinct difference between OD and 20/20 and respect is not played to that difference. BBL is all about power and clearing the rope, that's great but the role of noddling it around and getting 80 off 80 is very important in OD cricket. That's what the Whites are very good at and going over the top if they have to. We seem to not value that OD knock anymore. Would Bevan or Hussey get a run anymore? I doubt it. You'll get more guys getting picked having not played OD roles for their state because the window is so small now. Not fit in October well you miss out. We still need OD players in March though.
