Re: Broncos 2014 Stats thread I'll answer your questions in a second. I didn't say a lot of those reasons/excuses didn't have merit - in fact, I acknowledged his injuries did have an impact for a part of the season. I don't believe Griffin's influence is as much as you say it is so we'll disagree on that one. Your first reason is curious though as Boyd has been in a rehabilitation facility for a few weeks now. I don't think I've read a single post on here, amidst all the muck raking about Boyd's possible return, that mentioned that as a possible loss of form for Boyd. If psychological issues are good for Barba why not Boyd? Now onto the questions: I don't believe Boyd's form is all that bad. Yes, the Knights have had a year to forget and I think he's having his worst year to date but I don't think his form is any better or worse than Barba's was this year. To say otherwise I think is making excuses for Barba, most likely based on form from 2 years ago, and not Boyd. The problems with the Knights are similar to Brisbane. Boyd at his best and Barba at his best is a tough call. They are very different players but I think Barba is more of a game breaker. Boyd, however, is more consistent and has the runs on the board to back it up. The salary cap issue though, I'll believe when I see it. If he genuinely wants to come home then fine, but I'd have a hard time seeing how he would be in a position to command top dollar. The Broncos won't cop that I'd imagine as he can't have it both ways. I'll wait until I hear from the man directly. Do I believe Bennett will drop Boyd from fullback? I think that implies a certain amount of death riding of Boyd tbh and assumes that he'll be playing poorly. Even then, I admit it's doubtful. Not many young kids have been breaking down the door in any position so it would have to be one hell of a knock. I won't say it won't happen as he did take a punt on Karmichael Hunt so it could go either way.
