Another great QLD RL legend has passed away.....Barry Muir RIP.
Muir was the first to coin the term cockroaches when describing NSW. He was a true QLD'r (although born in NSW) and hated NSW with a passion. He had QLD running through his veins.
Muir was a wily halfback who was captain coach of the Wests (Brisbane BRL).......coached Redcliffe also at one point.
I seem to remember a boyhood rumour that he had been banned for life after being sent off for spitting in a referee's face......
