[B]49. Tyson Gamble[/B] - One of those all effort players who came in when the club was struggling and was clearly doing everything he could to right the ship. It's easy to see why he'd be a fan favourite, but there's just so many guys I'd have above him. [B]48. Alex Glenn[/B] - The last couple of years definitely knocked him down a peg although I think a lot of it was misfortune than anything else. The poor guy could barely make it through a game without suffering some kind of freak injury. Plus, his appointment as captain seemed rushed to begin with. He was clearly on the outer before a surge of good form saw him re-signed and since Darius was struggling he just happened to be the next cab off the rank. Otherwise he's a no-brainer for a list like this. He was a veteran of the club, performed in a variety of roles, had a few quality seasons and never really played poorly. His biggest crime was that he wasn't a world beater which for me made him more of a Mitch Aubusson type figure. [B] 47. Jake Turpin [/B]- The pick is something of a meme but like PWA said, he had a couple of performances where he put himself in the right spot at the right time and he was all effort. Like Gamble, I think there's more than 50 players who belong on a list like this, but there's a recency bias and a younger demographic in play as well. [/QUOTE]
