[QUOTE="mick, post: 2158831, member: 1794"] 1. Of course Slater had a better 2008 than Hunt. Absolutely without question, regardless of how bad he f**ked up in the test match. 2. I don't honestly think you could speak down to people who think that Hunt is a better fullback than Slater. They are two players who have COMPLETELY different styles, and then there's also the fact that people judge "best" in their own ways. For some, the best might mean the best to watch, electrifying with the ball but prone to brain snaps. Hell, a lot of people think Manu Vatuvei is the best winger in the competition because of how he goes when he's on fire, regardless of the knock-ons and defensive lapses on his bad days. I can not and will not name the best fullback in the comp, because there are many that are right up there with their own strengths. I'll say one thing, though. Hunt, in his four-ish years of playing at the top level has probably only been considered the best fullback in one of those. However, in the other three, there has been three different players. Bowen was all the rage for a while there. So was Brett Stewart. So was/is Billy Slater. Why do I have so much time and admiration for Hunt as a footballer? He's always up there, week-in, week-out.
