Kevvy didn't want him, simple. Boyd realised after game 1 that if he didn't get picked when Slater was injured (and Gagai), he wasn't going to be picked and therefore retired. No point facing the humiliation of being overlooked over and over again whilst fit and available to play. That would be hard to swallow for anyone who has accomplished what Boyd has. [/QUOTE]
