Hooker Greg Conescu, halfback Allan Langer, centres Gene Miles and Chris Johns and forwards Keith Gee and Greg Dowling were outstanding performers for the Broncos. Manly trailled 14-6 hallftime, and were unlucky not to be closer. But in the second 40 minutes the Broncos stampeded and the premiers turned in a dismal performance.
