The Broncos and Sharks will clash at Redcliffe’s newly re-developed Dolphin Stadium on Saturday February 4. While the Auckland Nines are on the same weekend, the Broncos’ top liners not involved in New Zealand are likely to get a run at Redcliffe. The match will be the Broncos and Sharks only opportunity to have a hit-out before they travel to play in the World Club Series in England two weeks later. “The last time we hosted an NRL trial in 2014 we had a record number of fans come along to the game,” said Redcliffe’s General Manager of Football, Grant Cleal. “Unfortunately we were washed out in 2015 and construction of the $12 million stage one of Dolphin Stadium meant we couldn’t host a trial this year. “Our Dolphins’ fans were able to enjoy some brilliant football from the new Des Webb Stand in the second half of the 2016 season. “I have no doubt that with a strong Broncos side playing the reigning premiers Cronulla, Dolphin Stadium will again be packed with fans.” Tickets for the Broncos-Sharks match will go on sale in early December. The Broncos are yet to lock down a trial for the following weekend when the All Stars match will be on and the top squad away in England. However members of the Broncos squad will play a trial the following weekend.
