I think the sky well and truly has fallen, not sure how much worse it could really get but that aside, I generally agree that there are a lot of positives. The boys definitely show far more resilience than they did last year. The issue is terrible ball control, unforced errors, and abysmal game management puts them under insane amounts of pressure, which they actually did a really commendable job of defending against the titans but eventually it gets too much and it leads to these short periods in which the oppositions scores multiple points that make the game unwindable. Of the games were 60 minutes long and you removed the 10 each side of half time we win both games. Which is a vast improvement on last year where we would go on to concede 40+ score lines. It really comes down to our spine, Isaako (although he had some great runs for good metres) makes too many errors or kills plays, Croft can’t kick, and Milford has no idea what game management means or how to even attempt to defend. A new fullback and half would go such a long way to improving this team. Not even just your Tedesco and Munsters. Kodi Nikorima and Val Holmes could almost make this team smokies for the top 8. It sickens me to say it but Mitch Pearce could transform the team over night.
