Nobody is saying he was rubbish, but you need more than one good year to earn that right. He did that after 2019 and hasnt looked back. This is my whole point, you have to earn the right to get big contracts and we dished them out too easily for players who just had a run of form instead of a consistent few years of form. Its all irrelevant anyway. The Payne situation isnt really about what he did or didnt earn in the past, its how he handles things now. And thats pretty poor imo. Same as Tino. [/QUOTE]
