I think Pereira won Qcup winger of the year last year?? but played the reserve grade storm in Rd 27 last year and looked a bit off the pace in first grade. Hoeter got his 1 game in Rd 27 last year as well, but is getting older and hasn't been able to solidify a first grade spot. He filled in admirably in 2022 when needed, so it would be hoped he can do that again. Beyond that is Leota in the development contracts, but I think reports from 1910 and co was that he wasn't quite as impressive as you'd hope coming into Qcup. Current players outside the 17 are below... although one of them is still required to fill that last spot on the bench with Capewell leaving. I think we've got 3 spots left in our Top 30, so I'd say we need an outside back and a second rower at minimum. If Sailor leaves then we need to find another utility type player like TMM was in 2022 and Sailor was in 2023. Loan deals could be what we need... solves a short term need and we don't have to invest in longer term deals, but players may come for an opportunity to play with us.
