I guess it’s best summed up when you think about how he made his way back to the peak of rugby league after he was told he’d never play again and how that showed his strength, spirit and determination. But, like so, so many others, once he arrived, he probably got a little comfortable and complacent. Nowadays though, he is the epitome of what a Bronco should be and rightly so is being held in such esteem. As the team dynamic stands, I don’t want him going anywhere. But if the sliding doors had have worked out a little differently over the last few years, I still maintain he probably would have been surplus to our needs.
