[QUOTE="Russo, post: 2202143, member: 1779"] Have had a quick breeze over others comments and as expected it seems all are blaming the refs when it was our team inept display that lost the game. The torso try was a try by the letter of the law even if it is a stupid rule. The knock forward was a try, nothing like the Hayne try as Hayne propelled it forward over the head of a player for his advantage, Lyon's did not propel it over a player. Both time the left side defence was caught out, Michaels had nothing and I was disappointed with Winterstein's lack of pace and turning ability (ala Tame Tupou) on both occasions. On the forward passes both were nearly in line with our seats, both calls were right, theirs was a try and ours was not a try. I had no real problem with the refereeing. It was our performance that some have eluded to that was the problem and that fadeout has been coming for a while and Henjak knew it and has been warning us about it for weeks, we have just been lucky and weathered it of late (bar the Parra game). On the performance, agree PJ impressed and look forward to seeing more of him in tandem with hopefully McCullough (NB I am not writing Gorrell off, we need an experienced hooker in tandem with Macca and if PJ is not fit then Gorrell should play in tandem). Parker is playing great football as is Clinton. Agree re Sammy getting found out running in too close to the ruck with the inside balls, should be out wider for mine. Sims continues to impress me just needs to keep it up. Both Locky and Wally looked tired and faded in and out of the game too much tonight, they will be up for Friday guaranteed. Thought the Glenn and Izzy combo worked well and whilst I'd have no problem with Glenn in the centres I still feel his best value is off the bench in the forwards. Palmer looked out of his depth today, did not hit the line with an conviction and should go back to Qld Cup till SOO time. DT would have been handy today. So overall that was the performance that has been coming for a while now and hopefully will wake some of the players up, we certainly missed K and Hodgo, blaming the refs was not the cause of our loss, we were.
