[QUOTE="Organix, post: 3433424, member: 8187"] To be fair, I do think after that big win against Parra Kev felt it could be time to blood some of the future players at the expense of those leaving next season. Against the Tigers who were basically spooners at that time, it isn't exactly hard to believe that that would be a pretty simple thing to test out. Unfortunately, it didn't work out and we lost our best middle forward at the same time. So, with some buffer and having previously had some luck over the Roosters, thinking that it might just require some time for defensive combinations to work out, Kevvie stuck to the same team, who proceeded to get reamed through the middle, where the leadership was lost, before being picked apart on the inexperienced edges, where those combinations were still not satisfactory. Unfortunately, I am also of the opinion that Tesi is not there yet as a defensive fullback, and definitely did not coordinate himself or the rest of the side well at all those two weeks, but honestly, we did not hold the ball long enough, nor respect the opposition early enough in both games to actually build up anything that would have resulted in a win. We still scored some tries, which is a great positive for the team going forward, but that middle defense really needs to tighten up and Reynold's/Staggs rushing defense needs to be better coordinated. It also requires covering slide defense from the FB to make up the numbers, otherwise it is an overlap every time. Reynold's should be the only one rushing up, not Staggs, because Staggs is strong enough, but yeah, that communication will come with time and confidence in each other. This week will hopefully be better, with more experienced heads on the edges, and hopefully a tighter middle. Really, the game is always won and lost in the middle and if we can get some decent line speed early, and hold the ball early before all this passing stuff, we will grind the Knights down easily enough.
