Based on evidence, they just get it right, practically every time, and if there is none, the onfield ruling stands. There is still the occasional miss, but that is where human error comes in, and that IS acceptable. There is no reason the NRL can't have a (smaller of course) corps of referees as capable as the NFL does. But the rules have to be clear, the interpretations and the decisions have to be consistent no matter the score, the clock, or the amount of penalties already given. [/QUOTE]
