Watching a two minute clip isn't going to reveal much; what do you want to see players running on their hands? They're not a circus act. Watching a try and saying well they pass the same as everyone else and they run on their feet so it's no different to any other team isn't the whole story. The skills they're using of course are the same as everyone else; that's the sport. Two things stand out. They use skills more often than any other team; not saying they're more skilful but they use skills more. It's all based on time with the ball the Jets know how long they have the ball and how long each set is and how long the other team have the ball and how long each of their sets are taking. They're making the other team work harder for longer and then using skills and speed to beat them. If as you claim 'every team does it' which teams base their play on time? I'd be interested to know. The Jets have scored 35% of their tries from outside the 50- the Broncos have scored 13%, Storm 8%, Roosters 13%. (Before anyone says the NRL defence is stronger yes I know.) But the stat highlights the skills being used. The Jets could have the next five TV games in a row; if they keep winning. If people watch I think they'll have a much better understanding of what they're trying to do and why than any youtube clip.
