Some clubs will just not bother looking further then who is signed and being developed by the Broncos system and when they are 18 and coming off contract. That is not scouting it is poaching, Walsh was offered money the Broncs just couldn't give him, how much money have they put into the last 5 years of his development and it just walks out the door. If players want to leave they should be allowed to do so, but there should be something like a salary exemption for say 20% that allows the club that developed them to at least field a competitive or comparative offer for at least 2 -3 years of their first full time contract.
