To set the scene, AP went on his anti-Bennett agenda and criticised the selection of Premiership Winning Halfback Shane Perry. Anyways, I did my thing explaining Perry's worth to the team was his defence and organisational skills and that he gave us much needed direction that our alternative halfbacks of that season (Seymour and Berrigan) couldn't. That wasn't enough for AP though and then he called Perry one of the worst attacking halfbacks ever. I tried to get it through his thick skull that not many people would argue that, and that he was in the team for other reasons and played his role to perfection. I then went onto explain that he was getting Perry's role in the team confused with the playmaker's (Lockyer). He then asked me if I was implying that halfback's shouldn't be playmakers, and I replied that traditionally yes your halfback should be your playmaker, but in this case Lockyer was our playmaker and in career best form so our halfback didn't need to be a playmaker. But AP kept on thinking that I was saying halfbacks don't need to be playmakers, even though I said that traditionally yes your halfback is your playmaker. Hope that's not too hard to understand. It was and still is for AP, but I know BHQ is a lot smarter than AP in general. [/QUOTE]
