The threats that I thought would occur just didn't. Storm didn't get a chance to do anything and some of their sets were the worst I can remember. The dummy half runs from backs always tell a story about how well the other team has attacked and kicked- Broncos four dummy half runs from backs. That's just Walsh and Cobbo. The Broncos weren't polished, but it was just a final win. I thought it was a scrappy game and even at 8-0- both teams weren't really playing finals football- must have been five passes either dropped or forward from a first receiver. Whichever team settled down and won a 20-minute period was going to win the game and it was that period from 50-70 that won the game for Brisbane. Bench was great and kept the momentum going. I thought that was telling in the game. The highlight for me was the scramble even at 26-0 they got back and covered anything with two minutes to go- they wanted the 0. Would have been easy to go 26-4 who cares- but they showed great pride in their line.
