Apart from when we dropped off and conceded two busts up the middle after getting out to 24-0 it was a faultless performance. We didn't have one bad player on the night. Every player deserves a wrap but special mentions to: Beal - Outstanding game. His running game and support play was deadly but his best moment was his defensive work when he steered that Warriors player (Mateo?) to the side line and cut him down. I forgot how good Gerard was for us at fullback earlier this year. He is an absolute star. McGuire - He's hands been the best prop since Origin finished. I can't reinforce how important he's been to our success over the last seven weeks. He's playing huge minutes. Glenn - I love Alex Glenn and hope he becomes one of our long-serving captains. He bleeds for the club - it shows though in his pressers and out on the field. Great game - he troubled the Warriors all night. Wallace - His general and high kicking has been spot on during the last month. I reckon he's the best defensive halfback in the game too. Some of his tackles close to our goal line in that second half were copybook. Not wanting to sound cocky but if we produce the same kind of play against the Dragons we'll roll them. And not wanting to get too far ahead of myself, but the Lockyer farewell could really take us all the way this year. There was a real sense of occasion last night at the stadium when his name flashed up on the screen during the team announcements, when he scored that try late in the first half and when he clapped the fans on his way back to the mark during Parker's kicks for goal. That will be magnified ten times over on Saturday night. The momentum we're getting from him is irresistible at the moment. I'm convinced it's giving our players a huge leg up.
