Loyalty and tipping don't mix.

That's why I'm leading the ESPN Tipping Comp. :001_tt2:

Re: Finals Week One

I don't blame Big Pete tipping the Cowboys, they do after all hold a superb finals record against us and have some of the best players in the game, that being said I think its still up for grabs for the Broncos, this will be a tight one IMO.

The 3 times we've played the Cowboys in the finals they've all been in Townsville so it will be interesting how they will handle a pro Brisbane crowd in a finals match, we are also in form unlike the previous 3 times as well. Disagree about the Cowboys having some of the best players in the game. Thurston is the best halfback running around atm but apart from him none of their players whilst being very good aren't the best in their positions.

Who else cheerin' for the Storm here tonight?

Can't let the new cheats win a premiership. Unlike Melbourne, it would never be taken off them.

Fair points Bman but let's look at that logic for a second.

Would you say that since Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is currently the best fullback in the game that Greg Inglis isn't one of the best players in the game?

What about Paul Gallen? A lot of people would rate Corey Parker above him as a middle forward, but does that make him a lesser player?

Not everybody can be Cameron Smith. However, that doesn't mean they can't still be lethal players in their own right.

You've got to look at it more as, if you had a Top 50 list, how many Cowboys players would make it.

Just off the top of my head...

Johnathan Thurston, Mat Scott, Michael Morgan, Jake Granville and Gavin Cooper would all be there.

Then there's players like Lachlan Coote, James Tamou, Jason Taumalolo and even Ben Hannant who could be there abouts at any given time.

Brisbane have plenty of great players too and I expect this to really go down the wire, but I think the big game experience of JT and Scott will prove the difference.

Re: Finals Week One

Love those Melbourne players (only tonight).

Re: Finals Week One

The difficulty with playing Sydney is starting your sets from almost your goal line due to their awesome forward pack. Gotta hope for penalties.

And it's not just their fowards, RTS is the best at bringing the ball back and SKD is awesome at picking up metres too.

Re: Finals Week One

Storm got pinged for not being square, guess you have to be a Sydney team to get a penalty.

Re: Finals Week One

I may never say this again, but I'm cheering the Storm on.

Re: Finals Week One

That whole last set from the Roosters....how do you even contain their pack?
