On field success and the famous Broncos brand pretty much makes the marketing and business side of things bread and butter compared to looking after the finances of other sporting teams. If you wanted a better reflection of how good a CEO Paul White is, a better test of his credentials would be to see if he could continue to generate a high turnover and maximise revenue in future years now that the brand has copped a battering and our on field success has completely diminished. You could have put any other of the 15 CEO’s of rival teams in White’s position and they would have matched those figures without breaking a sweat. Let’s stop pretending like we were a broke and struggling club and White came in with a magic wand and fixed it all. His legacy is that of just continuing to ride financially on the coattails of the club that was already in a very good position and then jumping ship when the going will actually get tough now for the CEO and at a time where the CEO of the Brisbane Broncos will actually really earn their money now. The football department which actually has a huge bearing and is almost directly proportional to a clubs finances also fell apart under his watch.
