The tragic thing would be if Hoffman does leave, I can imagine someone like Hasler or Cleary working with him to improve aspects of his game and he could become a genuine threat at the back. Griffin hasn't proven yet he can improve players - most of the squad have gone backwards since 2011. Until I see a quote from Hoffman directly, I'm just going with 'it's a beat up.'
