Big League Round 2 Notes Tom Trbojevic (Manly Sea Eagles) has seven tries from his first two games of the season and added two try assists and two line-break assists against the Storm. Jesse Maxwell (Manly Sea Eagles) helped set the platform, gaining 147m from 17 carries. John Fomai (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs) scored a double, made two line-breaks and looked dangerous whenever he touched the ball. Ash Taylor (Brisbane Broncos) was in the thick of the action, creating two tries and steering the Queenslanders around the park with maturity and composure. Coen Hess (North Queensland Cowboys) was equal parts brutal and brilliant, gaining 161m from 16 carries as well as notching three line-breaks, a try assist, 29 tackles and a second-half brace of tries. Erin Clark (Warriors) was one of the Warriors' best, initiating a number of attacking raids and crossing for his first Holden Cup try midway through the fist half. Maitua Love-Henry (Warriors) was a constant threat on the edge of the ruck, terrorising the Canberra defenders en route to scoring the first and last tries of the match. Aaron Pene (Parramatta Eels) scored two tries, set up a third and made three line-breaks. Sulasi Vunivalu (Melbourne Storm) worked hard for his 169m from 13 carries and was rewarded with two tries an assist. Nelson Asofa-Solomona (Melbourne Storm) was another standout, the star forward displaying his typical thirst for hard work, making 30 tackles to go with 14 hit-ups and six offloads. Josh Addo-Carr (Cronulla Sharks) threatened the Broncos defenders throughout the 80 minutes and was one of the Sharks best. Jordie Hedges (South Sydney Rabbitohs) showed great composure, leading the Rabbitohs around the park with aplomb. Liam Coleman (South Sydney Rabbitohs) was another standout, scoring a try midway through the second half and constantly probing the Roosters' defence. Mason Cerruto (Wests Tigers) crossed for a double, including a brilliant length-of-the-field effort shortly after half-time. Brian Kelly (Gold Coast Titans) continued his successful stint switch to fullback, making an incredible 23 hit-ups and he combined well with centre Jed Cartwright, who scored a double. Brayden Torpy (Gold Coast Titans) also had a number of fine touches and put Cartwright over for the match-sealing try in the 69th minute. Luke Yates (Newcastle Knight) was the Knights best, controlling the middle of the field with his powerful tackling and bullocking runs. Joseph Manu (Sydney Roosters) scored a hat-trick including two long-range efforts, and was one of the Roosters best, causing Souths plenty of headaches with his speed and power. Tyrone May (Penrith Panthers) finished with a superb stat line - 15 carries for 181m, two try assists, 10 tackle busts, three line breaks, two line-break assists and a try.
