Looks like Penrith are desperate to get back into the winners circle. Jennings & Katoa are two of their better talents that play for the NSW Cup side (when they're not playing NRL in Jennings' case) and I think Souths are in a bit of bother here. Not that it would really faze Souths. Their top players like Olive, Whitelaw, Saumamoa, Musgrove are all playing NSW Cup and they've got others like Simone, Booth and co. missing. I think they're lambs for the slaughter here. Dragons/Cows went from being a sure thing for the Cows to being quite the contest with Cows missing players through Origin commitments. I think they're too good a team to get beaten but it wouldn't be a huge shock if the Dragons sprung the upset. Manly/Cronulla could go either way I reckon. Sharks got flogged by 46 points but on their day they can be a real handful and with Manly missing some key talent they could get beaten here. A win for Manly would go a long way for them making the finals for the first time since 2010 but I struggle to put a finger on where they're truly at right now. Wests produced one of the upsets of the season when they managed to beat Penrith in one of the lowest scoring games of the season. They welcome back hulking prop Junior Tatola and fleet footed centre Watson Heleta from NSW Cup and should be in the box seat against the Eels. One interesting thing to note about the Eels side is the selection of Mason Cerruto. Cerruto actually started the year for Wests but made the switch over in recent times and I'm sure he'll be looking to get one up over his former team mates. Another signing is Fairouz Elkander on the bench who played for Penrith earlier this year. He seems like a real athletic backrow and I'm not sure how well he's grasped the game just yet but there's certainly some potential there.
