OK, so we kinda agree on the first part. I'd say it's what separates him from the better halves in the comp. Slight nuance maybe, but significant enough imo. On the rest, we definitely do not agree. After 1.5 years, I'm over the "if he can regain his best form" part, so no... he has lost the right to be automatically chosen ahead of the rest. Besides, based on the best form, I'd say he's third best at the club at most, with Milford and Benji so far ahead of him, it's not funny. Even at his best, he couldn't use his right side, his kicking was average at best, and his decision making was still inconsistent, and downright mind-blowing at times. Kodi has shown he's more capable on at least 2 of those items, besides being a more capable short kicker as well. Yes, I do realise we may give in defensively (not as much as people say), long kicking would be a problem, and we wouldn't gain much in terms of game management. The gains easily outweigh the losses though. Then, there is Benji Marshall, who is showing signs of returning to his better self. With his experience and ability, he could easily be our dominant half, not because he's a halfback, but because he has better tools than Hunt for the purpose. That way, he would be leaving Milford to do what he does best while we find a halfback whom can truly compliment Anthony (hello Ash). I hate the fact that my arguments always make it look like I dislike the bloke, or think he's a crap half. He's not a halfback in the way I regard a halfback's responsibility, but I truly think Hunt can be a really good half playing to his strengths and what he sees in front of him. He has to be second fiddle to a dominant controlling playmaker, whom can think ahead and execute accordingly, not take on that responsibility himself.
