This is the reason this thread is a joke. Constant revisionist history and bullshit that, somehow, others buy in to. I can somewhat accept @Porthoz for his arguments. Even though we know it's all tied up in his beloved players (Hunt doesn't utilise Gillett enough; Hunt should have had the foresight to know that the Dragons would offer him a billion dollars and told Wayne to not let Ash Taylor leave), at least the argument has merit. Poor decision-making or bad execution when it comes to last-tackle options. That's really the crux of it. It's a massive flaw, because that's a critical job of the organising half. But it's a narrow scope, and one that he has overcome before. But "show no interest"? Just cut that shit out right now because it's the exact opposite of what's going on. Besides Milford's game-sealing run at the end of Round 1, he was pretty shit. Don't go through the live footage or threads if you want, that's your choice, but how about you look at the POTS results, which is an indication of who our members thought performed. Milford came 4th in Round 1 and 5th in round 2. That's it. Done. You have to go to Round 6 to even get a podium for him (3rd), but we're talking about Rounds 1-5 here, right? In that same time frame, Hunt got 3rd in Round 4, and FIRST in rounds 2 & 3. By the end of Round 5, Ben Hunt was considered by us, the members, here, as the second best Bronco, just one point behind Matt Gillett, with Milford no where to be seen. So seriously, some of you guys trying to rewrite history because you saw something new and shiny is just plain horseshit. Showing little interest, going missing in games? For the first half of the Warriors game, that was Benji Marshall. Storming home with impressive displays when the game is already lost? Benji Marshall again, second half of the same game. Marshall has his place in our team, Bennett knows what he can bring, and is using him exactly how he should. But there's no fucking way we're a better side with Marshall as our halfback instead of Ben Hunt.
