1. Darren Lockyer (c) 2. Lote Tuqiri 3. Peter Jackson 4. Justin Hodges 5. Wendell Sailor 6. Berrick Barnes 7. Scott Prince 8. Shane Webcke 9. Luke Priddis 10. Glenn Lazarus 11. Brad Thorn 12. Darren Smith 13. Tonie Carroll 14. Shaun Berrigan 15. Petero Civoniceiva 16. Dave Taylor 17. Terry Materson Lockyer as my full-time captain. Love his attitude and really just loved watching him play at fullback. Sailor & Tuqiri on the wings because they were weapons anywhere on the field and I don't think we got to see enough of them in tandem. Jacko was a professional but never got a chance to settle in. Definitely one of those players from yester year I believe would be just as good today as he was back then and I reckon he could give his outside men good ball. Hodgo on the other, would love to see the player he would have become sans the injuries but with the experience. Risky halves pairing but I really rate (or at least rated) both guys and if we had of had some more fortune they could have guided us to more premierships. Definitely have the talent and IMO, they compliment each other extremely well. Webcke and Lazo is a no brainer up front. Best front row pairing period. Priddis at hooker because I loved his work around the ruck and how direct he was. Backrow have a mix of everything. Like Hodgo, would have loved to of seen how great a player Thorn would have been had he not gone to Union as it definitely slowed him down. Regardless, I believe along with Petero, Webby and Lazo he's an inspirational player and ideally would compliment the rugginess and experience of Smith and the hard-hitting fringe running of TC who would probably score all our tries thanks to our awesome go forward. Berro off the bench is a no brainer, easily our best utility (sorry Plathy) and gives me options around the ruck when the forwards get tired. Petero is a champion and had to be in the side, would be starting had it not been for Webby & Lazo. Taylor is another odd pick, I'd just want a crack at trying to refine his game to make him the most lethal forward in the game. And Matterson because I like a ball player coming off the bench and generating some second phase when forwards begin to get tired. Would be a bit horses for courses though so either Andrew Gee (mungrel) or Josh McGuire (sheer awesomeness) would come in.
