I've been jonesing for some lower grades so I've been tallying the 2019 fantasy scores and put together a team of the year. I decided to limit it to the regular season to mimic Supercoach. 2019 Fantasy Team of the Year 1. Edene Gebbie - 1028 points (57.1 average) 2. BJ Aufaga-Toomaga - 977 points (42.5 average) 3. Izaia Perese - 948 points (55.8 average) 4. Chris Lewis - 932 points (44.4 average) 5. Paul Ulberg - 886 points (40.3 average) 6. Lindon McGrady - 947 points (41.2 average) 7. Jamal Fogarty - 1316 points (57.2 average) 8. Nat Neale - 1079 points (46.9 average) 9. Harry Grant - 1388 points (73.1 average) 10. Jordan Grant - 1032 (44.9 average) 11. Kalolo Saitaua - 1113 points (48.3 average) 12. Jamie Hill - 1095 points (49.8 average) 13. Sam Coster - 948 points (43.1 average) Honarable Mention - Mitch Cronin (Hooker) 1115 points (48.5 average) That's going by Supercoach rules where the line between positions is blurred. If we were stricter the team would resemble... 1. Edene Gebbie - 1028 points (57.1 average) 2. Paul Ulberg - 886 points (40.3 average) 3. Izaia Perese - 948 points (55.8 average) 4. BJ Aufaga-Toomaga - 977 points (42.5 average) 5. Herbie Farnworth - 749 points (49.9 average) 6. Billy Walters - 761 points (50.7 average) 7. Jamal Fogarty - 1316 points (57.2 average) 8. Nat Neale - 1079 points (46.9 average) 9. Harry Grant - 1388 points (73.1 average) 10. Jordan Grant - 1032 (44.9 average) 11. Chris Lewis - 932 points (44.4 average) 12. Temone Power - 925 points (40.2 average) 13. Tom Gilbert - 945 points (43 points) Funny how none of the backrow managed to make it. Gilbert benefitted being a lock forward specialist playing the entire season in one position. Meanwhile Saitaua largely came off the bench, Hill played everywhere in the middle including dummy half and Coster also played a few a games at dummy half giving Gilbert the edge. Similarly Hamilton had more overall points than Walters, but he had a couple of games at fullback which just gave Walters the edge. Best Players For Each Club Burleigh Bears: Jamal Fogarty - 1316 points Central Capras: Jamie Hill - 1095 points Easts Tigers: Sam Lavea - 776 points Ipswich Jets: Nat Neale - 1079 points Mackay Cutters: Jordan Kenworthy - 890 points Northern Pride: Tom Hancock - 889 points Norths Devils: Jack Ahearn - 896 points PNG Hunters: Moses Meninga - 747 points Redcliffe Dolphins: Jordan Grant - 1032 points Souths Logan Magpies: Shaun Fensom - 891 points Sunshine Coast Falcons: Harry Grant - 1388 points Townsville Blackhawks: Tom Gilbert - 945 points Tweed Head Seagulls: Lindon McGrady - 947 points Wynnum Manly Seagulls: Mitch Cronin - 1115 points Also did a quick squiz of the Broncos 2018 season. Anthony Milford was the Broncos best at 1234 points albeit I think a lot of those points were accrued by his increased kicking duties. I also had a look at the first season where they really began to keep track of the points consistently and while I think they were missing the odd stat count, Ben Hunt on 1392 points with an average of 55.7 seems about right. Anyways, this turned out to be a handy little reference tool. I also found it helped me keep track of how the affiliate players are going and where they are in their development. In cases like Niu, he had the odd promising game, but largely struggled for impact. Similar deal with Paix, Riki, Cooper Johns and a few of the Cowboys affiliates.
