Haven't commented on this issue just yet - but some interesting points from all. It is a tough issue to get your head around, I can see the validity of the points people make on both sides of the argument. Roberts is a grown man, who at the end of the day is a fucking privileleged position - and the blokes responsible for his own actions. That being said, anyone with any personal experience with addiction, wether that be yourself or people around you, will tell you it isn't as black and white as that. Some people have a prediliction to addiciation whether that be through nature or nurture. Regardless, I think the Roberts is lucky enough to get another chance with the broncos, largely because his on field ability could help us to a premiership this year. Moral objections notwithstanding, this is the route our club has gone. Roberts might be a few peas short of a casserole, but I don't believe he'd be purposefully pissing his career away - the bloke must be trying but falling short. He's not the first bloke to struggle with addiction to work at the broncos, and we all know for sure he's not the only one on our side of the field most games that's had his struggles. From here all we can do is hope the bastard stays on the straight and narrow for the Broncos, and his family.
