He believed that rugby league was grossly mismanaged,players welfare a secondary consideration and no healthy vision for the future was being considered. Packer paid an absolute pittance for the rights at the time, a deal which I believe was probably one of the lowest acts perpetrated on rugby league by corrupt and unscrupulous administrators.
