Lovin' this Liverpool bashing, some of you do not have the slightest of clues. Do you even watch Liverpool games? Despite my initial Lucas bashing I would go as far to say he has been one of our best this year, certainly close to MOM today and absolutely bossed the midfield with Masch against the Manure twats. Go watch a game before you pull that out, or if you have.. get a clue haha. Lucas has been good this year and at 22 he is doing a damn fine job in the midfield at such a big club. Why wouldn't we think we were in with a chance? We were playing the most exciting football in england, if not europe for the second half of last season. And before you say "Yeah but you had Alonso"- we didn't have Alonso when we spanked Man United at Old trafford 4-1. How many teams can/have done that? Not many. We had 86 points last season (alot of it without Torres and/or Gerrard) and scored the most goals (I believe 14 of our games were without Torres too), took the highest point tally on record to beat us and Man U have lost both Cronaldo and Tevez and are left with Berba"lazy"tov and Valencia as a replacement (whom both have been EXTREMELY average this season). Our injury list is fucked to say the least. Torres, Gerrard with niggles, Aurelio, Riera, Skrtel, Agger, Aquilani (granted this was known), Skrtel, Johnson all out for multiple weeks since kick-off of the season. And it looks like we will be without Riera and Benayoun (one of our best) for a few weeks too after today. Couple that with some extremely bad luck you can understand why our season isn't going the way we want it. But to call us pretenders. Rofl. That's cute. Every bookie on this planet begged to differ with you at the start of the season. Dirk has had an average season, as has alot of our players granted. He was phenominal last season, 15 goals in all competitions, 12 in EPL and as many assists to boot. He was one of the shining lights for Liverpool last season. Especially when alot of the weight went on him when Torres was injured. He's a typical Rafa player- 110% every game, sure his first touch is miserable but he creates chances and finishes them off too. Secondly, squandered? Please have a read of this...... so you can understand the limitations in both transfer fees (net spends) and wage bills. Please do have a read before you comment anymore.. http://tomkinstimes.com/2009/10/fao-ope ... urnalists/ Sure, he has made some bad decisions in the transfer market, but he's made some fkn awesome ones, Alonso, Garcia etc Have a read.. It is well documented that Rafa did not want Keane at Liverpool and it was the wishes of the owners, especially at 20 fucking million.
