If its still together and reletivley minor, they treat it as a fracture even though if you want to be technical, a fracture is a break. But again, its not a one size fits all thing. Too many variables in this to actually say how minor or major the injury is. She did say though she wouldnt have left hospital the next day if her hip was broken, you can if its a minor fracture.
