The Walker brothers even managed to win a comp, as joint coaches. He's certainly no better than an O'Brien, Ciraldo or Fitzgibbon, at least not yet. It will come down to how well he can manage the team he's got and then how well he is at getting blokes to play for him in the future. If he was a flop it wouldn't surprise me, if he had success it wouldn't surprise me either, it's definitely an unknown, which is all I was saying when I listed out the queries Souths have hanging over their heads as we head into the season.
