If Milford bombs 2020, I think it's going to be hard to pin his failings on Seibold. Seibold didn't buy him, and he hasn't attempted to re-sign him yet. In Milford, he's playing the cards he's been dealt, at least for now. The club went out and got Milford a proper Halfback to play alongside now, so I think the opposite is true, and that if Croft does his job properly, it should really fall to Milford to excel with some more freedom and show the club he's worth what he gets paid and also worth a new deal. In my opinion, make or break for Seibold with regards to Milford will be what happens after this season and whether he wants to re-sign Milford or look for a replacement and how that replacement delivers for the club or not. Cutting Milford for a dud replacement would be pretty terminal, as would re-signing him only to see Milford's returns continue to diminsh with time.
