It's a tough assignment for New South Wales. They'll go into the series with the weaker team on foreign turf and all the momentum is going to go against them. I kind of feel like this is the best opportunity to blood some players, bring forward a couple of new guys who will appreciate the opportunity and could thrive in the arena. The trick is trying to make it work as a team. 1. Jarryd Hayne 2. Jorge Taufua 3. Will Hopoate 4. Michael Jennings 5. Brett Morris 6. James Maloney 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Aaron Woods 9. Robbie Farah 10. Aiden Tolman 11. Luke Lewis 12. Boyd Cordner 13. Paul Gallen 14. James Tamou 15. Trent Merrin 16. Tariq Sims 17. Anthony Watmough Not ideal but with players in the form they're in, injuries and suspensions it is difficult to really suggest much else. Taufua - Must play on the left. Hopoate - Plays on the right, and he gets the nod because I believe he has genuine class and has a nice combination with Hayne who will be a key member of this side. Maloney - Keeps his spot because I rate him over Reynolds and Mullen isn't ready to return. Reynolds - Again, not ideal. Pearce as far as I'm concerned is done and Brooks isn't ready yet. Don't think we can have J Reynolds or Mullen switch from their position either. Woods - Not a huge fan, but with Fifita gone, I want a player with a bit of size and I really hope Woods plays with a devil may care attitude. Tolman - Because I think NSW need a good all-round workhorse type player who can roll their sleeves up. Fensom isn't in the frame, Tolman is the closest player they have. Lewis - Important to have a player with class and experience. Not necessarily a fan, but can do a job. Cordner - Is a better fringe runner than Watmough and I think a better defensive player too. No bench utility - I just think they're a waste at this level. Only player I'd consider is Peats.
