However, does Johns' body hold up or does he continue to pick up injuries at the worst time of the season? From 2002-04, he found himself on the sideline during the most important matches and by the time he came good in 2005 the Knights season was over. After 2001, the only time Joey competed in the final game of the Knights season was 2006 when his side was depleted and Brisbane went onto put a near record score on them. So in all likelihood, the move would have just been a tease for the Broncos and a dagger into the hearts of Knights fans. The butterfly effect would most likely see the Eels win the 2001 premiership and the Blues would likely win the 2002 State of Origin series since Bennett wouldn't be so desperate to bring Alfie back.
