I'm totally behind the idea

Just imagine seeing another Wests V Manly (fibros V Silvertails) battle again in the buildup to a Manly V Wests Tigers game. That would sure get everyone pumped up and ready for action. Also the Broncos 1st premiership in any grade was the reserve grade premiership of 1990. We beat Canberra 14-6 if you're intrested and denied Canberra premierships in all 3 grades. Totally behind this and would be pleased to see it return.

I don't know why they think it is so hard to have all 3 games on game day. It did make the day longer but it always gave you value for money when you were there from gates open through Flegg, Reggies and First Grade. However some people would only show up late in the 2nd half of Reggies for First grade, which is not much different to what people do for NYC.

The best thing NYC has going is the tv coverage rates very well, even out rating the Union and A-League. I could see a Rabbitohs NYC home match at Redfern oval on a weekday drawing a crowd of about 2000-3000, probably more if they telecast matches.

Either way something needs to be done because NYC is turning into touch footy. Reggies needs to be run similar to the Qld cup and become a testing ground for future first graders to get hit by guys their own size and with a little bit more effort shown in defence.
