Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2016 Great signing, I expect him to become a mainstay in the Queensland side for years to come. Wouldn't be surprised if he's the best fullback in the world by 2018. It's a far cry from when they would sign disgraced players or overrated media personalities (still surprised Wolfman and Daine Laurie never got a look in). If I was Neil Henry, I would make sure to ease Peats into the side. If he plays his cards right, he could have a franchise number nine on his hands, which is something the Titans haven't had since Friend had younger legs. Olive, Kelly, Bernard, Tuisau, Cartwright, Fauid, Lelesiuao etc. coming through. If they can continue to make smart purchases and identify quality up and coming talent, they will recover under Caravan's guidance. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On other transfer news, looks like Souths and Penrith have all but organised a player swap. Chris Grevsmuhl will begin his Panthers deal earlier than expected, while one of the Jennings brothers, most likely Robert Jennings, will go to Souths. I think it's a good deal for both clubs. Grevsmuhl has looked lost and unmotivated this year, a move to the foot of the mountains should motivate him as he looks to make a good first impression. Then you've got Robert Jennings, the youngest brother of the Jennings family, who plays a lot like his older brother. After losing Olive, Souths were short on backs, so Jennings signing provides them with an attacking weapon they so desperately need. The Wests Tigers released Jack Buchanan to the Widnes Vikings. The most interesting aspect of this move is the amount of players the Tigers have let go, particularly in the forwards. Over the past year they've lost Sitaleki Akauola, Nathan Brown, Jack Buchanan, Salesi Funaki, Keith Galloway, Lamar Liolevave, Matthew Lodge, Billy McConnachie, Jesse Parahi, Brendan Santi and Matt Woods... and that's just in the forward pack. Taylor will have to hope that the likes of Felise, B. Sironen, Tatola, Cassell, Graham etc. actually kick on.
