Ever since he made the switch to Cronulla, Gordon has been one of the most reliable players in the game and will provide the Roosters with the seniority at the back to help structure the defence and defuse difficult situations. On a one year-deal, he is a great fit for the club and should provide them with some much needed stability. It's a good decision all-round. Not only does it relieve Mitchell of all that pressure, it also allows him to come in for a Daniel Tupou or Dale Copley and bolster that three-quarter line. With Manu and Lewis waiting in the fringes, the future looks bright for the Roosters backline. It leaves just one question - Gutherson or French? Who will be the Eels fullback moving forward?
