This is a terrific point, broncospwn and a very pertinent one. I think it's media driven. It's a disturbing trend I'm noticing more and more in the media particularly when it comes to rape, domestic violence or sexual assault allegations. Basically, the woman is right. Watch any report, the guy's name is dragged through the mud and trashed for a good 5-10 mins before the media tack on the fact that "the investigation is still ongoing..." or "please remember these are only allegations at this time..." or "Innocent until proven guilty". It makes me sick. The problem is even if the charges are dismissed or the guy is found not guilty it's very difficult for the man involved to get clear of it or get a fresh start. There's already been a hatchet job done. I wish the media would steer clear of legal proceedings, tbh. It's a pipe dream though, I know. If he's guilty then he'll stand trial for it. If he's innocent the charges should be dismissed. Let the facts be the facts and the media should just but out.
