Let's also hope they return the favour. I get people are talking the next tv deal down but the afl deserve a downgrade well before us. Despite the constant onslaught on us in QLD and nsw about how great afl is for about 10 years with 100's millions of $s invested the ratings in nsw and qld have still not picked up and it gets outrated by playschool and antiques roadshow. NRL has 4/5-6 top rated shows EVERY YEAR, has the best overall ratings, has room to add 1-2 more teams that will add (not subtract like gws and the suns) viewers, have diversified their product much better with other opportunities for 500,000+ viewers per new products (9s, women's (particularly origin), internationals are now high raters) And have greater potential for making changes to add tv advertising space (5 mins drinks break, ads in scrum time). The ineptitude of channel 9 should not AGAIN make the NRL undervalued itself despite the current economic outlook... Sorry for the rant guys... [/QUOTE]
