Amber Hall, Tarryn Aiken, Annette Brander and Lavinia Gould all return after starring in last year’s premiership victory, while dual-code star Tallisha Harden will also be in the mix, and Jayme Fressard will make her debut for the Brisbane Broncos after a taste at the NRWL Nines in Perth earlier this year. And in a huge boost to the Broncos roster, speedy outside back Lauren Brown will make the code switch from the Australian Rugby Sevens team to Rugby League. Broncos captain Ali Brigginshaw said: “We’ve still got the old girls in Lavinia Gould, Mille Boyle, Chelsea Lenarduzzi but we’ve also got the likes of Lauren Brown. There’s just so much exciting talent there – Tarryn Aiken will get a shot at starting in the run-on team this year and that’s something really exciting.” The Broncos have now announced fourteen of their 22-player squad, with more signings to come in the following weeks. They have completed one week of training, and have another two weeks until the third NRLW season kicks-off. “We are the Premiers – everyone team wants to beat the Broncos and that’s something we actually like,” said Brigginshaw. “We like the pressure and we seem to perform under the pressure. “We just take each team as it is. We study them, we look at who they’ve got, we look at how they play, and we change our game to play how we want to against them.” yeah the girls. Pretty much everyone is back [/QUOTE]
