Backrower Elliston - part of last year’s Broncos squad - returns for 2020 and is joined by three new faces. No stranger to the league scene, 22-year-old forward Shannon Mato comes with a wealth of experience having played league since she was a teenager. Mato has also made her mark in Rugby Union recently playing for the Queensland Reds and Wallaroos. Coach Kelvin Wright has kept a close eye on Burleigh Bears centre Tyler Birch who impressed enough during the Holcim Cup to get the call up. Tully product Romy Teitzel has also put pen to paper. The speedy five-eight bursting onto the league scene in the first season of the QRLW competition for the North Queensland Gold Stars Womens squad, following in the footsteps of her father Craig Teitzel. Craig represented the Warrington Wolves in Super League back in 1993 before returning to Australia to play with the North Queensland Cowboys in 1995. Remaining Broncos player signings will be announced tomorrow when Wright names his first squad for the 2020 NRLW season kicking off this Saturday in Sydney. [/QUOTE]
